Community Meeting to Discuss AISIN 10-Year Mangrove Reforestation Project

On July 3, 2024, AISIN Takaoka Asia Co., Ltd., as a co-developer of the 2023 mangrove reforestation project for carbon credit benefits, in collaboration with the Marine and Coastal Resources Administration Office 2, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, and Teamworks Consultant Co., Ltd., held a community meeting in Samed Subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi District, Chonburi Province. The meeting focused on the 30-rai area where the company received approval from the Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources to plant mangrove forests.

This meeting is part of the mangrove planting process, following government guidelines. It aimed to inform the community about the project's objectives, origins, and impacts, enabling stakeholders to understand and participate. The meeting received positive feedback and increased understanding of mangrove forest conservation and restoration, community benefits, and project support. This initiative is also part of ATTG Group's CSR activities.

The company will begin planting mangrove forests in August 2024, to plant 9,000 trees on 30 rai of land by the end of 2024. Maintenance and care for the forest will continue for 10 years as scheduled, with plans to seek carbon credit certification from relevant agencies.
